They aren’t. What Are K2 and Spice?

The legal picture is genuinely confusing, and that confusion is by design on the manufacturers’ part.

In the United States, many specific synthetic cannabinoid compounds are controlled at the federal level, and the Federal Analogue Act allows prosecution for substances substantially similar to scheduled drugs. Most states have added their own bans, many written broadly to cover chemical families rather than individual molecules.
